These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Assistly platform ("Assistly," "we," "our," or "us"), including the Assistly iOS application and website located at assistlyconnect.org. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
Assistly is a private platform exclusively for members of the Indian Hill School District community. To use Assistly you must:
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or allow others to access the platform through your credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we believe violates these Terms, impersonates another person, or poses a safety risk to the community.
Assistly is a job-matching service. We connect families posting tasks with students seeking work. We are not a party to any agreement between a student and a family, and we do not employ students or guarantee the quality of any services performed.
You agree not to use Assistly to:
Assistly does not process payments between users. Students and families arrange compensation directly — by cash, Venmo, Zelle, or any method they agree upon. Assistly bears no responsibility for payment disputes, non-payment, or any financial arrangements between users.
We take reasonable steps to verify that students hold valid @ihsd.us email addresses and that families are affiliated with the Indian Hill community. We may require families to complete a third-party background check as a condition of account approval. However, we do not guarantee the safety, suitability, or fitness of any user, and you agree to exercise your own judgment before engaging with another user.
You retain ownership of content you post (job listings, profile information, messages). By posting content on Assistly, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the platform.
You agree not to post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.
Assistly offers an optional parental monitoring feature that allows a family account to link to a student account and view that student's message history in read-only mode. This feature requires the student to confirm the link request. Families with linked student accounts acknowledge that they will keep any information viewed through monitoring confidential and use it only for safety purposes.
You may delete your account at any time through the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if you pose a safety risk, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your profile and associated content may be removed from the platform.
Assistly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of any user.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Assistly and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed fifty dollars ($50).
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hamilton County, Ohio.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Assistly after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
